Linda M. Fischer, a Philadelphia area poet, made her debut in Fine Gardening magazine in June, 2001, with a narrative poem about long-distance gardening for her mother in Beacon, NY.  Since then, her poetry has appeared in a variety of literary magazines: Atlanta Review, the Aurorean, Avocet, Bellowing Ark, BoomerLitMag, ByLine, Chiron Review, Cicada, Hotel Amerika, Ibbetson Street, Iodine Poetry Journal, Josephine Quarterly, Mad Poets Review, Mobius, Muddy River Poetry Review, Nerve Cowboy, Philadelphia Poets, Poetry East, Poetry Porch, Potomac Review, Roanoke Review, Schuylkill Valley Journal, Slant (A Journal of Poetry), String Poet, Valparaiso Poetry Review, Verse-Virtual, Voices de la Luna, The Weekly Avocet, Wilderness House Literary Review, The Worcester Review, and others.

She has published three chapbooks: Passages (Orchard

Street Press, a finalist in their 2019 contest), Glory, and 

Raccoon Afternoons (a finalist in the 2006 New Women's Voices Competition, both from Finishing Line Press). She won the 2019 Philadelphia Writers' Conference contest for her poem "White" (see Poems) and was a 2019 finalist in The Orchard Street Press poetry contest.  Twice a Pushcart Prize nominee, she was among the winners of Atlanta Review's 2010 International Poetry contest, a finalist in 2014 & 2016 and a merit award winner in 2013 & 2015.
